Reuben Dlamini Foundation - Who Are We

The Reuben Dlamini Foundation is a section 21 company that is led by a team of high profile board members to empower young people in rural communities for them to embrace and benefit their communities through Science, Engineering, Technology and Skills Development in order to harness innovative, industrious and prosperous rural communities - to grow the economy. We note with concern that whilst our country is rated amongst the top strongest African economies and a high level of leadership ability as well as a wide range of critical resources, we cannot say the same about the quality of our education system and the impact it has in the total transformation of our nation for better. More so, we seem not to have directed enough effort towards the development and enhancement of Science, Technology and Skills Development, which are highly required to lay the solid foundation for our country to compete with some of the best countries at a global level. The Foundation implements a flagship program called Leadership Development Program for Future Scientists, Engineers and Technologists – The Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Pipeline for Rural Development to nurture and grow a generation of high impact SET leaders with character, innovative and entrepreneurial flair to develop the very communities that they originate from.
